The nurse listened carefully to me and asked all the relevant questions about my health and stoma. She was able to identify an issue I had with a stoma hernia and recommended a support belt which I am sure will help me going forward with my stoma care. I was made to feel very comfortable which enabled me to discuss my situation without any embarrassment.

My mother and I would definitely recommend Lynne. She was very thoughtful and respectful at all times. She listened to my mother and allowed her to explain her difficulties. She was very diplomatic in allowing both of us (patient and carer) to express any concerns relating to products my mother used and possible alternatives. She ensured that she fully understood my mother's problems. She supervised my mother changing her ostomy bag without judgement and checked that the area around her stoma was healthy. By observing & examining my mother, Lynne was able to suggest an alternative to the ostomy bag she is currently using. Lynne concluded her visit by summarising what she was going to do (send samples of a different - flat bag) with reference numbers for future orders through NAMS and said to get in touch if there was anything else. Lynne observed COVID guidelines wearing a mask herself and I also wore a mask during her visit as my mother's carer. Previous visits from Stoma nurses have not been so productive possibly because my mother didn't feel she was being listened to respectfully without judgement. My mother is a very determined and independent lady even at almost 100. Lynne's visit was very positive and I wouldn't hesitate to contact her again should my mother need another review.
